Al Jawad Flexi opens new flexible packaging facility and commissions W&H NOVOFLEX II press

Al Jawad Flexi, a member of Takamul Industries, has opened a new flexible packaging manufacturing facility as part of an expansion programme aimed at increasing production capabilities for food, beverage, dairy and FMCG applications.

The company announced the development on 15 July 2026, confirming that the first stage of the project has been completed with the commissioning of a Windmöller & Hölscher NOVOFLEX II printing press.

The press installation marks the first milestone in a broader manufacturing expansion. Al Jawad Flexi plans to add a W&H OPTIMEX II blown film line and further converting capabilities, with the objective of establishing an integrated production facility for flexible packaging.

According to the company, the investment is intended to strengthen manufacturing capacity and broaden the range of technologies available to customers across target sectors. The expansion also builds on Takamul Industries’ relationship with Windmöller & Hölscher as a technology supplier.

Shaker Akil, CEO of Takamul Industries, said: “This new facility represents far more than an expansion of our production footprint. It reflects our commitment to continuously investing in technologies and capabilities that create greater value for our customers and support their future growth. We are building a future-ready manufacturing facility that will further strengthen our ability to deliver innovative, high-quality flexible packaging solutions.”

Once the planned equipment and converting capabilities are installed, the facility is expected to increase Al Jawad Flexi’s production capacity and expand its technology platform.

The project forms part of Takamul Industries’ growth strategy and is focused specifically on flexible packaging manufacturing. The company did not disclose the location of the new facility, the value of the investment, production capacity or a completion date for the full expansion programme.
